Make It With MoFA: Patchwork Sewing

November 7 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Free

In collaboration with our current exhibition, The Quilts of Mrs. Gussie Beatrice Arnold Hill, we will create and reuse patchwork materials in an introductory sewing event. Through this event, we hope to repair damaged or torn items, promote sustainability, and engage the community in practices mirrored in our exhibition. Attendees are encouraged to bring things from home they wish to fix, embellish, and sew with us while we learn about the history of scrappy quilting.

Please email mofa@fsu.edu with your name and the session you want to attend so you can reserve your spot. The workshop will be offered on November 7th from 5:00-6:00 and 6:30-7:30 PM. All you need to bring is a clothing item you want to work on; all other materials will be provided. Parking is available at no cost in the Call Street garage during the event.
