Opening Reception: The Quilts of Mrs. Gussie Beatrice Arnold Hill

June 13 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

On Thursday, June 13th, from 6:00-8:00 pm, join us for the opening reception of “The Quilts of Mrs. Gussie Beatrice Arnold Hill.”

Florida State University’s School of Dance and the Museum of Fine Arts are delighted to announce “The Quilts of Mrs. Gussie Beatrice Arnold Hill.” Conceived and developed by School of Dance Professor Anjali Austin, the exhibition highlights quilts designed and crafted by her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Gussie Beatrice Arnold Hill, a Tallahassee native. This exhibit is dedicated to the brilliance of our ancestors—African Americans—who weathered the struggle with resilience and strength.

Free parking is available next to MoFA in the Call Street parking garage. Refreshments will be provided. This event is free and open to the public.
