If These Walls Could Talk… | Lunch & Learn with Dorothy Kamm
June 11 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Presented by Goodwood Museum & Gardens at Goodwood Museum and Gardens, Tallahassee FL
Dorothy Kamm, an award-winning author and expert on American hand-painted porcelain, will walk her audience through the homes of 1880-1890, room by room, detailing the use of porcelain…as well as noting the ways that Goodwood might have been different from traditional homes of the wealthy during that era.
In every room, porcelain would have been used in the homes of the wealthy and social; from calling card holders and ornate plant stands, to dining wear and teacups, porcelain’s usage was extremely varied in turn-of-the-century homes like Goodwood.
Dorothy will share photos and examples of porcelain from within Goodwood Museum’s Main House during this lunch & learn program. A select number of Dorothy Kamm’s books on American hand painted porcelain will be available for sale (cash only) after the lunch & learn presentation.
This is a brown bag luncheon – bring a packed lunch and enjoy this hour-long presentation with us.
Presentation will take place indoors, at the Goodwood Jubilee Cottage.
Admission is free for Goodwood members; a $5 donation is requested at the door from non-members. No advance RSVP is required.
