Mayor’s Bicentennial Ball
March 2 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
$150.To celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime occasion, Mayor Dailey and the TEMPO Foundation are hosting a fundraising gala to raise money for the City of Tallahassee’s TEMPO Program on Saturday, March 2nd.
Established in 2017, the TEMPO Program is a program for youth aged 16-24 who have had contact with the law enforcement system that puts those young people on a path to life success. The program includes a GED program for most participants (and sometimes even their parents!) as well as vocational training, life skills, financial management, and other training. Focusing on those at a crossroads in our community, the program provides connections and a meaningful opportunity for success. The program has had astonishing success in its five years so far and is on a trajectory to continue to grow and succeed.
The Ball will be a fundraiser benefiting the Tempo Foundation, Inc., a 501-c-3 organization formed to support the TEMPO Program. The Ball will be a formal event where we honor and celebrate the City’s 200 years of history while looking to an exciting future. We will have dinner and wonderful entertainment, with our very own Tallahassee Nights Live! band. As a supporter of the Ball, you will play an important role in providing seed money for the wonderful work of the TEMPO Program.
Individual tickets are available through Eventbrite. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact the organizer.
Your donation is tax-deductible; the tax-exempt number is 87-2694168. Thank you for your support of one of Mayor Dailey’s favorite City of Tallahassee successes stories!
